Sprout → Sapling
Pirate introduced Sapling in December 2018. A potential vulnerability in Sprout’s original proof system raised inflation concerns. All funds were required to cross a public turnstile to the new Sapling pool by 15 February 2019 before remaining Sprout funds were locked to ensure no counterfeit coins existed on chain.
